Your data will be processed by Porto Insight Apartments Lda., with corporate identification number 517101564 (hereinafter referred to as PORTO INSIGHT APARTMENTS).
PORTO INSIGHT APARTMENTS is the data controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter referred to as GDPR).
Why do we process your information?
Your personal data may be collected and processed by PORTO INSIGHT APARTMENTS for the following purposes:
a) To comply with legal obligations to which PORTO INSIGHT APARTMENTS is subject, namely communications with foreign and cross-border services and billing purposes.
b) For the purposes of executing the Temporary Accommodation Contract for Tourists or the Local Accommodation Management Contract entered into with PORTO INSIGHT APARTMENTS, in particular for carrying out payment transactions, managing check-ins and check-outs, managing guests, collecting security deposits, providing additional services to the stay, such as cleaning and transfers, managing contractual obligations, or for pre-contractual due diligence purposes.
c) For communications via mobile phone and email, for informative and commercial communications, digital platforms, within the scope of PORTO INSIGHT APARTMENTS' marketing strategies, commercial and contractual information, and communications, as well as for requests for information.
d) For the purpose of protecting assets or property held by PORTO INSIGHT APARTMENTS, as well as for statistical analysis purposes. Failure to provide personal data for the purposes set out in items (a) and (b) implies non-compliance by PORTO INSIGHT APARTMENTS with its legal obligations and, consequently, the possibility of terminating the Temporary Tourist Accommodation Contract or the Local Accommodation Management Contract, without any right to compensation, as well as the provision of deficient services by PORTO INSIGHT APARTMENTS for which it is not attributable.
What types of personal data do we collect?
As part of its business, PORTO INSIGHT APARTMENTS will collect and process personal data necessary for the provision of contracted services, information requests, pre-contractual management, including identification, contact, banking, or payment card information.
For what do we process your information?
Your personal data will be processed based on the execution of the temporary accommodation contract for tourists, the Local Accommodation Management Contract, and compliance with legal obligations imposed on PORTO INSIGHT APARTMENTS, namely by legislation regarding the entry, stay, and exit of foreigners in national territory and by tax legislation (Article 6, No. 1, items b) and c), of the GDPR).
Furthermore, the personal data collected for the purposes set forth in item c) of the previous paragraph are based on the consent you gave to PORTO INSIGHT APARTMENTS for its processing (Article 6, No. 1, item a), of the GDPR).
For the purposes set forth in item d) of the previous paragraph, PORTO INSIGHT APARTMENTS will process personal data based on its legitimate interest (Article 6, No. 1, item f), of the GDPR).
How long do we retain your information?
Without prejudice to legal provisions, regulations, or judicial orders to the contrary, the personal data collected will be kept only for the minimum period necessary for the purposes that motivated its collection or subsequent processing.
To whom may we share your personal data?
PORTO INSIGHT APARTMENTS may need to share your personal data with other recipients. These recipients include:
a) Organizations and/or companies affiliated with PORTO INSIGHT APARTMENTS, provided they comply with an equivalent personal data protection policy.
b) Public entities to which PORTO INSIGHT APARTMENTS is legally obligated to provide information, namely the Immigration and Borders Service and the DGCI – Directorate-General for Taxes.
c) Subcontractors who provide certain services related to your personal data under a subcontract and for the sole purpose of providing technical assistance to PORTO INSIGHT APARTMENTS. These include, but are not limited to, website hosting providers, mail marketing service providers, cleaning companies, law firms, accounting firms, and insurance companies. d) Competent authorities to which PORTO INSIGHT APARTMENTS is legally obliged to disclose information during legal proceedings or to detect technical and/or security issues, such as judicial entities or competent supervisory authorities.
Is my data transferred to countries outside the European Union?
Your personal data collected by PORTO INSIGHT APARTMENTS will not be transferred to any entity established outside the European Union.
Exceptionally and subject to certain conditions, PORTO INSIGHT APARTMENTS may transfer your personal data to countries outside the European Union, in accordance with applicable legislation, specifically for the purposes of hosting or storing data, subcontracting technical processing, backup and recovery of hosted data, and service development.
PORTO INSIGHT APARTMENTS guarantees that it will not transfer your personal data to countries that do not guarantee an adequate level of protection, in accordance with the provisions of the GDPR.
What are my rights?
At any time, in accordance with the GDPR, you may request access to your personal data, as well as its rectification or deletion, restriction of processing, the right to object, and the right to data portability.
If the requests submitted are manifestly unfounded or excessive, particularly due to their repetitive nature, PORTO INSIGHT APARTMENTS may charge a reasonable fee, taking into account the administrative costs of providing the information or communication, or taking the requested action, or refuse to comply with the request.
In the case of personal data whose processing by PORTO INSIGHT APARTMENTS is legitimate based on consent provided, you have the right to revoke consent. The exercise of this right does not compromise the lawfulness of the processing carried out based on consent previously provided, nor the subsequent processing of the same data based on another legal basis, such as compliance with a contract or a legal obligation to which PORTO INSIGHT APARTMENTS is subject.
You also have the right to file a complaint with the National Data Protection Commission. Security and Confidentiality

However, data transmission over the internet is not completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted through our website.
